For the best fucking concerts of the year. Seriously, why is it always late fall/early winter when the best tours come around? The holiday shows RULE.

I went to my first concert since Warped Tour [which was my first Warped Tour ever!] a couple of weeks ago, and it felt great to go to a show again.

Sunday, November 18th: I saw Yellowcard, supported by The fucking Wonder Years and We Are the In Crowd at the Boston House of Blues. My ex/friend likes We Are the In Crowd so she came for them. We saw them at Warped too and they put on a pretty good show both times. Then the Wonder Years, always a spectacular performance. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve seen them. I think it was two years ago now, the first time I saw them at Club Hell in Providence. Damn I wish I kept track of all the great shows I’ve been to. Then I saw them last October at the Boston House of Blues on the Pop Punk’s not Dead tour with Man Overboard, Set Your Goals, and New Found Glory. THAT show was fucking awesome. I don’t know Yellowcard that well, but they put on a great performance.

Thursday, November 29th: Last night I went out to The Met in Pawtucket, RI to see Man Overboard fucking tear the place down. This was my fourth time seeing them just in the past year! Last October at the House of Blues on the PPND tour, then last December at Club Hell’s last show with Handguns in Providence, and then the third time at Warped in July at the Comcast Center in Mansfield. The only thing that sucked about last night was that they are on tour with Never Shout Never. I respect them, but the two bands have completely different fan bases. I was really nervous standing through the two opening acts with a bunch of twelve year old girls and their parents lined up along the walls. The Met is a pretty small club, with no stage security or anything. But anyways, as soon as MO came on it seemed like everyone just came out of the bushes. I saw a bunch of guys that were obviously just there for them as well, so I joined them and showed those little kids who the fuck Man Overboard is. Fucking awesome time. Some jackass tried to fight me because I bumped into his girlfriend, and the event security guy grabbed him in a chokehold. The thing is, the jackass didn’t realize he was a security guy so they started to fight. Like hard punches, kicks, that guy got fucked and they dragged him out the back door. Man Overboard rules though. Then we all bounced when they ended. Fuck Never Shout Never.

I agree with you on what your opinion on Kony 2012. I just also want to point out how useless it is for us to send people over; the LRA is no longer a threat. They haven't been since 2006. Also, I believe there are already some people searching for Kony. At this point, that's all anyone can do.

I don’t care if you’re for it or against it. The point of the campaign was to bring everyone together on something we can all agree on and it automatically splits up into two sides of people who are for it or against it, people tearing up the invisiblechildren company for their operations, those hipster assholes who are looking down on everyone now “jumping on the bandwagon” because they knew about invisiblechildren before March 5th…

Everyone just shut the fuck up you look like fools.

Do you realize what will happen when the government sends troops over to help out and our American soldiers start dying for their cause? Every single one of you assholes is going to turn right around and start protesting the government to pull out. Just like in the Middle East. Same situation with Saddam Hussein, another war criminal who we sent reinforcements over to help arrest, and the whole country tears itself apart in protest of the war.

Except this one is going to be worse because every one of Kony’s soldiers is a fucking child. If you’re a marine sent over to help, what is going on in your mind when you’re told to shoot the enemy - a twelve year old boy ? They’re gonna freeze up until the kid pulls out an AK47 and blasts one of our finest men. And then there’s gonna be parades and a lot of crying when the caskets come back and every one of you who wrote to the government and begged them to send help over, you’re gonna protest as soon as someone in your neighborhood comes back in a casket. This situation has nothing to do with us. It isn’t hurting our country. The majority of the world never even knew about it last week and its apparently been going on for 20-30 years.

The bottom line is Africa is helpless, it would cost billions if not trillions of dollars to attempt to help when it is not in our economical interest to do so. We’re already trillions of dollars in debt, so why put our country further in the hole for something that is not affecting us at all? Let them tear their own country apart, or we’ll soon end up the same way. We need to fix our own country before we go out trying to be heroes saving others.
